Kleiburg Block, transformation of a large-scale residential housing block in the Bijlmermeer neighborhood in Amsterdam, marking the first use of escalators in social housing. The new circulation is supported by a series of over 150 uniquely shaped vertical steel trusses that are clad in a semi-transparent stainless steel fabric. Through these vegetally shaped trusses the new escalators and circulation is hung on the existing concrete structure.
